Malachi 2:16
For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce.

Me too!
Divorce is a violation of God’s word – therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. Matt 19:6
When a couple divorces they take it upon themselves to tear apart that union.
Granted, I believe many marriages are not joined together by God. The couple has no thought of God and makes no true commitment to keeping God in their marriage.
I am the product of divorce. My parents split up and divorced before my teenage years.
I did not like the way it made me feel and I promised myself I did not want my children to feel that way.
As a result, I would do anything to stay with their mother.
But then, their mother is an easy woman to stay with! She is a believer as I am. We keep God in the center of our marriage and divorce or separation has never been a thought for us.
My advice to couples comes from Gods word – Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, Eph 5:22-25
To me, that means wives live for your husbands and husbands die for your wives.
This is what the church does for the Lord – lives for Him, after He died for us!
