Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

All of us invest in something.
Look around your home. You invested in a bed, a couch, a refrigerator, a television, and a washer and dryer.
The home needs cleaning every day, painting, mowing, or reroofing every so often. The couch wears out, the fridge quits, and the washer leaks.
Worse case, someone breaks into your home and steals it all.
The words of Jesus hold true about rust and thieves.
When you invest in heavenly things it won’t rust and thieves cannot touch it.
Eternal life is just that – ETERNAL!
You don’t get that kind of life out of a dryer or television.
