Memorable Scripture: Jesus, the beginning and the end.

John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

“In the beginning” is how the Bible begins in Genesis.
The author of the Gospel of John is John the Apostle, brother of James.
James and John are sons of Zebedee and often called the sons of thunder.
John is also the author of Revelation, the last writing of the Bible.
In Revelation, Jesus reveals Himself as the Alpha and the Omega – the beginning and the end.
John starts with the beginning and later he gives the end.
His Gospel declares Jesus is God, evident by verse 14 – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
That gives this meaning to the beginning of John – In the beginning was [Jesus], and [Jesus] was with God, and [Jesus] was God. [Jesus] was in the beginning with God. All things were made through [Jesus], and without [Jesus] nothing was made that was made.
Jesus said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matt 28:18
John 1:10-11 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
And many today still do not know Him or receive Him.
However, accepting the Beginning will give you a good ending!
