John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
What would you do if you could go back and begin again and start over?
This section of scripture is one of the most important of the New Testament.
A rabbi, named Nicodemus, sneaks in the dark of night to meet Jesus and professes belief.
Jesus knows how to get someone’s attention and touch a heart.
Nicodemus was born into a family of position and power. Jesus tells him the need to be born again!
The rabbi does not understand and thinks about physical birth.
Jesus points out this is a spiritually new beginning. However, the mind and body follow in line with this new beginning.
You cannot become born again and continue to do the same things. There is no change if you do.
It is written if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Cor 5:17
If you truly are born again, you will change. You will cease to live in sin.
I do not say you will never sin but you will not live to sin. Instead, you will live for Christ.
