John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This is another important verse. It sums up everything else in the Bible.
What I remember about it most is seeing it in a Gideon Bible translated into multiple languages.
The scripture tells us of God’s love for everyone.
A love so great He is willing to give His only Son to redeem everyone.
That redemption isn’t automatically thrust upon everyone but only those believing in Him as the only way, truth, and life – that He is the only way to the Father.
Redemption is a payment for sin in each of our lives.
The bonus is everlasting life.
