John 5:6-7
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

The man had this illness for thirty-eight years. That’s a long time to be sick.
He wanted healing and, like many others, believed getting into the Bethesda pool would do it. However, it seems only one person was healed after entering the water and it was never him.
Jesus shows up and asks the man if he wants to be healed.
The man gives an explanation rather than an answer.
He limited his healing to getting in the water.
He limited his healing to beating other people to the water.
He limited his healing to someone helping him into the water.
If you want healing don’t limit it to a doctor, radiation, chemo, pills, exercise, or some elixir.
Say “yes” to healing, say “yes” to Jesus!
