John 10:27-29
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.”
This is a great verse about the security of salvation. There is no one that can snatch you out of the Father’s hands.
I’ve heard some say you can jump out yourself.
Let’s think about this.
What is more powerful than God?
Is someone stronger than Him as to snatch you out of His hand?
Are you stronger than God to jump out of His hand?
Which is stronger: God’s salvation to keep you or sin to snatch you away?
You may ask, “What about people that profess salvation then they renounce God and return to an old life of sin?”
John answers this in 1 John 2:19 – They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
Salvation is eternal, hence it gives eternal life.
Jesus is eternal and gives eternal life.
If you are a true believer you will hear His voice and follow Him and never turn away!
No greater place to be.
