John 11:49-50
And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.”

Caiaphas will lead the charge to crucify Jesus.
Here, he unknowingly prophesies the real reason for Christ to come – so the whole nation, all people, should not perish.
While the high priest was only thinking about preserving their traditions, God looks beyond to see the real need in all of us.
The need for love.
The need for grace.
The need for mercy.
The need for forgiveness.
The need for salvation.
Jesus provides all these needs and more – just with you in mind.
