Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Peter preached the Pentecost sermon!
According to Jewish tradition, God delivered Torah on this day.
Now God delivers the Holy Spirit on this day.
Peter tells everyone this is fulfillment of prophecy from Joel.
Starting with Joel 2:28, he preaches Jesus crucified and resurrected!
Three thousand accept his message and accept Jesus as Messiah and Savior.
The declaration of their faith is demonstrated in their baptism.

The word of God is still just as powerful today. People in many lands across the world are flocking to God’s word.
Perhaps we don’t see thousands come to Jesus in the states.
But revival is beginning to break out.
Lives are changing.
Families are restored.
And God is glorified.
