Acts 11:26
And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
I take great pride in being called an American.
I am glad to reside in the Lone Star State and the Republic of Texas. Therefore, I am a Texan!
But what trumps my title as an American or a Texan is I consider myself a Christian.
Christian became the new name for the believers and followers of Jesus Christ.
The believers had another name attached to them at one point, followers of The Way.
Today many names are given to Christians.
Born-again believers.
Followers of Christ.
Messianic Jews.
Saints.
Disciples of Christ.
Whatever you may call yourself as a Christian, remember you represent Jesus Christ.
Your life cannot mimic yourself at any time.
You are an ambassador of Christ.
Calling yourself an American, a Texan, a Californian, or any other place cannot compare to wearing the badge of a Christian.
