Acts 14:19-20
Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
Paul is stoned to death. You may think he is only wounded but I believe him dead. The Jews were quite good at stoning to death.
In my opinion, I believe this is where Paul went to the third heaven spoken about in 2 Corinthians 12:1-4.
It goes to show the viciousness of first century Judaism. This is not an isolated incident.
Stephen was stoned and throughout Acts you find many other instances of hatred and envy by the Jews.
The same vicious actions take place today without physical death.
Often a minister is entrapped into resigning a pastorate or maliciously tales are invented to destroy their validity.
Satan and his minions desire to destroy the church and ministers.
But God is able to raise from the dead a ministry toppled by the adversary.
Put your trust in God and do not fear what people can do.
