Acts 19:3
And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?”
So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”
John came asking people to repent because the kingdom of God was at hand.
He continued to proclaim the coming of Messiah.
Evidently, these disciples heard that message a quarter of a century ago and were baptized by John, believing in the coming Messiah.
They went home and Jesus came, was crucified, and resurrected the third day.
These disciples never knew it but gladly received this revelation and were baptized in the name of Jesus.
Everyone arrives in this world “baptized” into sin’s condemnation.
There are those spending a lifetime embracing that fallen condition.
Many attempt to break that condemnation with a “baptism” by turning over a new leaf. Others by their faith in false religion.
Still others are “baptized” by their non-belief in anything.
Many baptism’s unto death and only one leading to eternal life.
Which baptism do you have?
Choose Christ!
