Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I love this verse. It certainly shows the depth of God’s love for you.
However, that love is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God loves everyone, which is why He gave His only begotten Son.
But God’s love does not include a love of sin. God does not love our sin.
Repeatedly in His word, God says sin causes death.
Only in Christ is there life.
Yet, in Christ, nothing can separate you from the love God has for you.
Outside of Christ, there is love but sin must be dealt with in a severe way.
Jesus took upon Himself the severity of sin’s punishment so you do not have too.
And that is the love of God!
