Romans 10:9-10
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Another verse featured in the Roman Road to Salvation.
I often share this verse as the means to salvation.
As Jesus said, “Those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart.” Matt 15:18
And He said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matt 6:21
If Jesus is truly in your heart then your mouth will confess Him.
Confession is key to salvation. Confession is more than with your mouth as it also translates into your very being and lifestyle.
He becomes your every thought and every word.
This is not a superficial walk up the aisle and shake the preachers hand meeting; but a genuine conversion of your heart, mind, and soul.
You are not just believing in the death of Jesus for the price of your sins but also His resurrection from the dead to eternally conquer both sin and death.
When you experience the full belief of this in your heart, you will be saved!
