2 Corinthians 9:6-7
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
I live in Deep East Texas where farms and gardens are still very much a part of life. My grandparents always had a garden. Many of my church members have one too.
They all know if you want a bountiful harvest you must plant abundantly.
If you plant sparingly then you harvest sparingly.
I’ve seen many plant such a large garden only to give much of it away to friends and neighbors.
What a blessing that is because I am often the recipient of the fruits of someone else’s labor.
I think many of them overplant for the specific purpose of giving to others.
God loves a cheerful giver whether in time, money, or fruits and vegetables.
I believe God desires for us to sow bountifully so we can reap bountifully and give bountifully.
