2 Corinthians 10:4-6
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Before a soldier goes into battle he is trained.
He, or she, learns discipline, team work, respect, weaponry, and hand-to-hand combat.
If they qualify for some type of officer training, they learn some techniques from famous battles throughout history.
The soldier must constantly learn and adapt to the latest weapons and warfare.
Christians are in warfare and, although, the weapons are different, the discipline, teamwork, respect, and learning are the same.
Discipline keeps you in prayer.
Teamwork keeps you in church.
Respect keeps you humble.
Learning keeps you in the Bible.
You learn to pull down strongholds and cast down arguments that are against God.
To do this you must let every thought become captive to the obedience of Christ.
Many Christians fail in these things because they lack basic training.
It’s like giving a rifle to just some regular off the street guy and tell him to join a bunch of others guys and take a hill over run by the enemy.
Without proper training that group of guys will fail.
Get into church and get into basic training.
