Colossians 3:14 Above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
There are many qualities of being a decent person and a Christian should not ignore them, including mercy, kindness, humility, patience, and forgiveness.
It’s difficult, at times, to hold on to each of these.
The apostle told the Corinthians that if he didn’t have love he was no more than a clanging cymbal.
In this passage he says love is the glue that binds perfection.
Manners, civility, virtue, and ethics are held together by love.
For the Christian there must be love for the Savior that transcends to the people around.
If our country had more love we would not see protests. We would not see shootings. We would not see crimes.
Love would treat everyone equally and fair.
A perfect world is one with love.
