Hebrews 6:18 …it is impossible for God to lie…
That one statement is very significant – God cannot and will not lie.
Although I posted a partial verse, the truth does not change when taken in the entire verse: Hebrews 6:17-18 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
God does not change so His promises do not change.
This is such a contrast to the adversary, who does nothing but lie.
Jesus, in speaking about the devil, said, “There is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” John 8:44
With Satan, you get nothing but lies but God will give you nothing but the truth.
