James 1:5-6 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
What do you want from the Lord?
Solomon was asked that question (1 Kings 3:5) and asked for “an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil.”
God gave him great wisdom such as the world has not seen.
God also gave him great riches, peace, and long life.
Don’t get the idea that he asked something to please the Lord so God would make him rich.
Don’t get the idea that you can do that either.
The true believer asks in faith according to the will of God.
There is nothing more important to God than the salvation of an individual.
That should also be the priority of the believer.
I have discovered it often takes wisdom to know how to touch someone’s heart and reach them for Christ.
If you lack wisdom, ask God!
