James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
God does not tempt with evil and God does not bless with evil.
Evil and God are polar opposites.
Perhaps your first thought is when Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matt 4:1
Read the wording.
The Spirit led Jesus but the devil tempted Him.
The Spirit will not lead you without equipping you.
Your greatest weapon is the word of God.
With it you can overcome temptation.
Now God knows your strengths and the devil knows your weaknesses.
The devil does not tempt you with what will not affect you.
James goes on to say, “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.” James 1:14-15
Again I encourage you to stay in the word of God and let the Spirit lead you.
