2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
What is your will for your children or grandchildren?
First, I want them to know Jesus as Savior and depend on Him for the best blessings of life.
I want them to do good, stay away from drugs, and treat others with respect and be respectful themselves.
I desire for them to get a good education, including college or some trade school.
I want them them to get a job where they are happy and with a sense of accomplishment and fun.
Marriage and children of their own.
Their own home.
Success in all they do!
What is God’s will for everyone?
This scripture says He wants everyone to have salvation.
He desires this more than everything else.
Will God’s will be done?
Will all your children and grandchildren do what you desire for them?
The answer is no for both because free-will enters in.
The choice ultimatly lies with an individual.
We know what God wants and this is the reason He is in no rush for judgment day.
You may say, “God’s will won’t be done!”
Perhaps you are right but God’s word will be fulfilled and He says those refusing the salvation He offers will stand before Him in judgment and will receive punishment for their sin.
Are you doing God’s will?
