1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
I had a man tell me one time, “Christians are mean!”
I understand why he said it but it saddened me.
Anger and belligerence are the by-products of Christians allowing worldly events to influence them.
I’ve heard many Christians say many malicious and hateful things involving the last election and the present administration.
If politics makes you lose your religion then you don’t know God.
NOTE: I did not say you are not saved!
I said you do not know God, which means, you do not understand God.
God is not political. He is holy and just.
Can you give me scripture where Jesus said terrible things about Caesar?
Did Jesus yell and throw things at King Herod?
The only times He became angry involved the misaligned worship of the Father and not politics.
He was often grieved by what the religious were doing more than what others were doing.
His love even extended towards those that crucified Him.
Hate is a stronghold that needs breaking in the life of a believer.
Love leaves no room for hate.
Jesus taught us how to look for his lost sheep, how to disciple his lambs. ‘Walk in the light.. love one another.’
