Memorable Scripture: Alpha and Omega

Revelation 1:8-9 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

I am thinking Jesus spoke here in Hebrew, which John would understand.
But Greek is the common language of the world at that time.
In Hebrew, the phrase is the Aleph and the Tau, which is an old Hebrew saying that means the eternity of things or the completion of things.
The Rabbi’s say Adam broke the law from the Aleph to the Tau, from the beginning to the end, which means the entire law.
It is more than this for the Savior.
He was in the beginning with God and is God.
It is not that God the Father is the Alpha, God the Son is the Omega, and God the Holy Spirit is the Pi.
It is written, for in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Col 2:9
Jesus is the fullness of God; the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, the End, the First, and the Last (Rev 22:13).
“Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
When God revealed His name to Moses, He said, “I AM THAT I AM” or “I AM WHO I AM”
For me, this is the same meaning as said in the latter part of today’s verse.
JESUS IS!
Jesus is what?
EVERYTHING!!!
He is the Beginning, the End, the Eternity of All Things!
