Revelation 6:9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.
How many have died just because they professed Jesus Christ as Savior?
The Book of Acts starts with Stephen and gives an account of his death in Chapter 7.
James followed later Chapter 12.
Most apostles were executed for their faith.
Foxe’s Book of Martyrs is filled with information about those killed for their Christian testimony.
They are killed by emperors, kings, queens, religious leaders, and their own neighbors.
Even today, millions suffer humiliation, imprisonment, and death just for believing in Jesus Christ as Savior.
It is unfair that someone should be killed because of their religious views.
I do not desire the death of any Muslim. Rather I desire to sit and talk with one about Christ, knowing what the word of God will do to change his/her life.
I believe the same for all that believe differently from me.
What profit is there in the death of an unbeliever compared to the joy of winning one for the sake of Christ Jesus?
Christ, Himself, decides the time that ends any offer of salvation.
This is what those “under the altar” are waiting for.
The end is near and they cry out for justice in righteousness.
They wait as other martyrs join them.
Persecution of any believer is intense during the end times as belief in Christ as the only way is a threat to those believing in multiple ways to heaven.
