What comes out of a person’s mouth?
Words!
Words can carry people away like a flood.
This is evident by the flood of words you read on social media and news media.
All kinds of flooding of words that sweep people one way or the other.
Rumors and misinformation can carry you far away from the truth.
In the days of Noah, all it took was one person to say, “Oh, that Noah is crazy! It’s never flooded before so why should it start now?”
That one flood of words would spread until everyone believed no flood was coming.
I say Jesus is coming back but there is a flood of words, thoughts, and ideas to convince you otherwise.
Just as the serpent (Satan) spewed a flood from his mouth to carry away the woman in Revelation, he desires to sweep you away by a floodwater of words to keep you away from God.
Jesus is that solid rock for you to build upon and withstand the flood.
Matt 7:24-25 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
