Revelation 13:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
The great beast of Revelation, commonly known as the Antichrist.
Although John wrote earlier that many antichrists have come.
Antichrist means just that – someone against Christ.
There are many people already against Christ, as John said, but this one gets in a position to promote his agenda of making himself God.
I’ve heard the sea represents the political world and seven heads and ten horns are countries and political leaders that give him backing.
As for a blasphemous name, when you start claiming yourself to be God, you are committing blasphemy.
This individual is polished, slick, and able to deceive the whole world.
Jesus and many of the New Testament writers warned against deception.
Your only weapon is to know the truth of God’s word so you can recognize the counterfeit of the antichrist.
Read your Bible.
