Revelation 19:20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
As far as I know, these are the first two cast into the lake of fire.
Many more will follow in the next chapter, including Satan, but that is at least a thousand years away from today’s scripture timeline.
There are only three mentioned that are cast into the lake of fire that receive no formal judgment – the beast, the false prophet, and Satan, also identified as the dragon, the serpent of old, and the Devil.
Their crimes are the sin and blasphemy against the Lord Jesus Christ and all creation.
It indicates the beast and false prophet are cast in alive.
It can seem unfair for an all-loving God to cast people into such a place.
But it is their own sin that condemns them to this place.
God, in His love, made a way of escape, which all cast in the lake of fire have ignored.
I also do not read of any possible redemption, reprieve, or parole for those in the lake of fire.
One thousand years from the time of today’s scripture it says, “where the beast and the false prophet are.” (Revelation 20:10)
More on that later on.
For now, do not be deceived! You will reap what you sow.
If you sow unrighteousness, you will reap the same.
Accept Jesus as Savior and enter the joy of the Lord instead of the habitation of the devil.
