Revelation 19:21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse.
It would seem a strange sight but it speaks a truth.
In Heb 4:12 it says the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
It is not a literal sword but His word.
It was by His word the heavens and the earth were created (Genesis 1) but with man, He did not speak Him into existence but formed him and breathed into him life!
His word brings life and, sadly, His word brings death.
Your words have the same ability in others – to bring life or death.
God has plenty to say about what you say!
Prov 12:17-22
He who speaks truth declares righteousness,
But a false witness, deceit.
here is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise promotes health.
The truthful lip shall be established forever,
But a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy.
No grave trouble will overtake the righteous,
But the wicked shall be filled with evil.
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight.
