Revelation 21:2-3 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
I know we talk about going to heaven and, it’s true, believers spend some time there but this scripture shows the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven.
The voice declares God dwelling with His people.
I was asked the other day what are believers going to do during the Millennium or afterward.
I really don’t know any details.
Every answer you or I give is very speculative.
John previously wrote, “Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” 1 John 3:2
What is happening in today’s scripture is a new birth for believers.
Like a birth, you do not know what you will become when you are grown.
God will reveal it to you and me.
I’m just glad to be there and it gets better!
