Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
I was surprised when I looked at today’s verse.
How appropriate for today.
Linda and I have lost a very dear friend, Ashley Burks. No, she is more than a friend, she is family.
This verse reminds me of how many tears we shed here on earth.
Cemeteries are watered by them.
Church carpets are stained with them.
Tears of sorrow and tears of joy flow with equal enthusiasm.
Ashley is not the only person I have shed tears over, just the latest.
Crying and sorrow are as plentiful for us in this life as laughter and joy.
But God promises a day when tears, sorrow, crying, death, and pain are a thing of the past.
May I respectfully say to God – bring it on!
