Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Life, as we know it, cannot exist without water.
Jesus said to the woman at the well, “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14
I believe the full fulfillment of the saying is in today’s scripture.
It flows directly from the throne.
The next verse leads me to believe it flows down the middle of the street of gold, where you find the tree of life on either side.
Granted, I do not understand it all.
Needless to say, there is something peaceful about trees next to a river.
Peace, safety, comfort, no strife, no danger, and no conflict are what we have here.
The curse is lifted (vs 3) against creation. The curse of death is gone.
We will see His face and His light and reign with Him forever and ever. (vs 5)
Although Revelation is drawing to an end, it is actually a beginning for His people.
