The Church of Afghanistan

Rev 6:9 I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.

It’s about to get real for the church in Afghanistan.
For twenty years the American military has been in the country squashing the efforts of the Taliban.
For twenty years women have been able to freely walk down the street to a job.
For twenty years little girls have gone to school and got an education.
For twenty years men, women, and children could worship the name of Jesus in their little churches.
Now the church in Afghanistan did not have the freedoms we experience in America, but it flourished as hungry Afghans heard the truth of the word of God.
The American military has left and the Taliban has returned with a vengeance to declare the Islamic State of Afghanistan.
Little girls, women, and the church are now in the crosshairs of the Taliban’s oppressive rule.
Perhaps Revelation 6:9 is a future scripture for a time of tribulation, but for the church in Afghanistan, it is a today scripture.
Pray for the church in Afghanistan.
