My grandparents often told me about The Great Depression, a worldwide economic downturn starting in most places in 1929 having devastating effects.
International trade was deeply affected, as were personal incomes, tax revenues, prices, and profits.

I was expecting Preston to be with them but he wasn’t so I asked about him.

I was watching the TV last night when a commercial for The Discovery Channel came on.
It ran through images of animals, fish, jungles, ancient architecture, polar ice caps, and so on.
It was very well done and quite entertaining.
