Col 3:15 – And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts.
In the middle of a dead zone I get a text from Linda that said, “I’m so sorry! What a disappointment!”
That text would stop me from going any farther.
I stopped at the Broaddus Cemetery road on the edge of town and called.
Judg 6:36-40
Gal 5:16 –
When you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
I believe each Christian seeks a closer relationship with Father. Prayer and Bible reading are excellent ways to begin – there is no denying!
So here is the question one of my youth asked, “Do we still have to follow the Law of Moses?”
The Law of Moses is a guide to sin. That does not mean it gives you instruction on how to sin but tells you what sin is.
You can see how detailed the Law of Moses was and how difficult for the people to follow.
The Law of Moses had many restrictions that aided in the health of the society as a whole. The food restrictions were in place to protect people from disease bearing animals, E-coli, salmonella, and botulism.
The Law of Moses seems like it is quite restrictive but it only is restrictive when it comes to sin.
