I often blame Christian’s for many problems that exist today. Christian’s have sat back and slowly watch as protection of the law was given to those things directly spoken about as sinful in God’s word. Continue reading
Love
Putting words in the Savior’s mouth.
Jimmy Carter was president from 1977 to 1981. I voted for him back then and the reason I did was because he professed to be a born-again Christian. He still does.
But I saw where the former president has come out in favor of same-sex marriage. Continue reading
Do not bow – do not bend!
It didn’t take long. The ink is just barely dry on the majority decision when I saw this from a church just about 2 hours south of me. This appeared on my Facebook wall –
I got my first request to perform wedding for a gay couple this morning. I politely declined. Continue reading
Everlasting Love
Love of my life!
Soul-mate!
Can’t live without you!
My one and only! Continue reading
You have value!
There are so many that blame others for their problems. They blame a parent or babysitter for abuse. Teachers are blamed for saying they’ll never amount to much.
The only person responsible for your situation is you! Continue reading
Let’s get stone (part 4)
Everyone has broken the Commandments and it is obvious that we’re all stoned, that is, deserving of God’s judgment and death sentence. Continue reading
Excuse me – Part 4
Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ Luke 14:20
What a lame excuse this is. I always thought a spouse would be a good reason to go to church but I guess some could use love as an excuse. Continue reading
Love Overlooks and Excuses.
Love has an amazing affect on people.
Love is able to transform sadness to happiness; it changes loneliness into hope.
The Bible has much to say about love – how it is so patient and kind.
While,
Hatred stirs up strife, Love covers all sins. Prov 10:12
“love will cover a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
Love also overlooks sins.
There is a husband that’s an alcoholic but the wife loves him and makes excuses for him when he doesn’t show up with her at a party.
There’s the child doing drugs but the parents don’t want to believe that because they love her and just want to believe she’s going through a phase.
I can go on and on and this may be happening in your family. Your love is not covering their sins – it’s overlooking those sins.
You will overlook the sins of those you love!
You nor that person you love can ever, ever cover those sins.
But Jesus can because He covers those sins in forgiveness through His own blood.
Your sin isn’t overlooked or excused – it’s forgiven, washed away, removed, gone, and never to be remembered.
Abba, thank You for covering my sin. I would still be in a bad shape had you just overlooked it. In Jesus name, YES&AMEN
Sabbath Year
Gardens were planted in the spring and with such abundance of rain and temperate weather, the late summer yielded a wonderful harvest.
But with the arrival of autumn things are slowing down.
With this autumn also comes the beginning of a shemittah year – a year of release and a Sabbath year of rest.
Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. Lev 25:3-4
But the church cannot afford to rest over the next year. For the church, working the harvest should never stop and never end until the Lord of the harvest says to stop.
Though the church cannot afford to rest during this Sabbath year, the church needs to continue to release love, hope, and forgiveness into the world.
The question remains as to what may happen at the end of this shemittah year.
Will there be another economic collapse?
That’s unknown at this time.
What is known is that God’s love for you does not diminish and does not rest in the Sabbath year.
With the return of Jesus getting closer every day, use this time wisely to let Jesus release you from your sin.
Accept Him as your Lord and Savior.
YES&AMEN
