“That’s a very nice umbrella”, the check out lady said.
She’s right.
Linda won a contest and received a huge golf umbrella so big that 4 good-sized adults could probably stand under it.
That’s the kind of umbrella I like.
I can’t stand those little scrawny things that let water drip on your shoulders or fold up in a strong wind.
I want a manly umbrella so big it keeps the rain off my feet and that’s just about what I have.
Having your head covered is essential for so many things, whether it’s a toboggan to keep one warm in winter, a helmet to protect one in a game, or a hat to protect against the summer sun.
It is written GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. Ps 140:7
As much as I liked having the checker admire my umbrella, how much more to have her see how God has covered me.
