It's Up To The Men

We went to Walmart on Saturday and while Braeden was getting a haircut, Haylee and I sat on the bench at the front of the store and waited.
While there a woman came out of the salon in a poncho-looking thing with aluminum foil weaved throughout her hair.
All of Walmart must have been staring as she headed for the ladies room; I know I did.
I posted it on Facebook (Hey, that’s what I do) and my friends began making post about it.
Then someone posted that it should be on
I visited the website and my foil-headed lady pales in comparison to the fine array of photos on that site.
It’s got to where people don’t care what they look like, what they wear, or what is written on what they wear.
It doesn’t seem to favor a gender though it seems that the majority of offenders are the women.
The Bible says, I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 1 Tim 2:8-10
While we look at this verse and put the emphasis on what the ladies should wear, it’s definitely saying more than that to us.
Why does Paul desire that men pray while lifting up holy hands?
Because the man is the head; the priest of the family.
If men behaved as men should; men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. Acts 6:3
Holy men, honest, respectful; if the men had this godly character then the women would follow.
If the men became the men that God wanted them to be, then the women would be the Godly women that He wants them to be.
Come on, men! Let’s lift up those holy hands and pray!

  1. The music leader brought in a bottle of water during service. The paster said his mouth was dry and asked for a glass of water. Then there were sodas, water bottles, cups in the hands of so many people. One INFIRM lady would jump up in the middle of a song or the sermon and run to the rest room. Next week many were doing it. Monkey see monkey do!
