An accident waiting to happen!

Last night we got a text that there was a wreck around Broaddus; it was a teacher, her teenage girl, and one of her teen friends.
I am thankful for text messaging, Facebook, cell phones and all, but you can really be kept on pins-and-needles while you wait for the response to your text, “Is everyone okay?”
We watched Facebook and scanned all the local friends and started seeing some of the other teenage girls say a few things.
The accident was caused by a deer; air bags did deploy and it’s reported that the teenage friend cut her arm on the windshield.
Linda and I are very relieved that it wasn’t as bad as we were imagining.
Accidents always happen without notice, hence the word “accident”.
Whether it’s someone running a traffic light that plows into you or a deer suddenly darts out in the road; an accident is unpredictable.
And talk about an accident waiting to happen (for us); they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven. Mark 13:26-27
I can only imagine what the return of Jesus will be like.
The sky opens up and there He is; everyone sees him, taking their eyes off the road, bumping into the person in front of them; people go missing – raptured from off the earth.
It isn’t an accident that this will happen; the Bible has given us notification.
However for those that are not ready, those that have not accepted Jesus as Savior it is an accident waiting to happen.
So be prepared, because you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. Matt 24:42 NLT
