I'm not here to fight… but I will!

Then Jesse said to his son David, “Take now for your brothers an ephah of this dried grain and these ten loaves, and run to your brothers at the camp. And carry these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand, and see how your brothers fare, and bring back news of them.” 1 Sam 17:17-18

David did not leave the house that morning to go fight a giant.
He left to carry some homemade supplies to his brothers in the army.
But the giant got in the way.

David could not stand the fact that Goliath disrespected the God of Israel. He wondered why no one else did anything to stop it.
Getting the better of him, David volunteered to stop it himself.
At least one of his brothers tried to squash the idea – “Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.” 1 Sam 17:28

You know how the story ends with David killing Goliath.
How does your story end today?
Like David, you may plan to do one thing but a giant problem gets in the way. Others tell you to leave it alone or it’s not your business. When it concerns God – then it concerns you and you cannot let it go.

Proclaim victory over the giant. David did.
Grab a handful of stones. David did.
And fight by faith. David did.
You may not come to fight today… but you will!
