Isaiah 9:1-2
The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
And afterward more heavily oppressed her,
By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan,
In Galilee of the Gentiles.
The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.

This is another Messianic scripture given by the prophet.
Before Jesus’ public ministry began, John came baptizing and preaching the coming of Messiah. Herod arrested him and locked him up.
It was at this time the ministry of Jesus began with His first stop in the lands of Zebulun and Naphtali.
It is here He proclaims His first public message, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matt 4:17
In hopeless times, Jesus brought light and hope to the people around Galilee.
That Great Light still shines today. It shines through those that know Jesus as Savior.
We are the light of the world to continue the work and proclaim the message, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
