Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
This is one of Isaiah’s more recognizable passages.
This chapter deals with the weakness of mankind.
He creates an image of God with his own hands and worships what he creates.
The rulers of kingdoms and dynasties rise, fall, and are forgotten.
He works hard to plant and his crops fail.
He wearies himself.
However, God does not grow weary or faint.
God promises strength and stamina to those that trust and wait on Him.
Though this cares of this world drag you down, God renews your strength so you soar like an eagle!
Trying it on your own will weary you out.
Depend and wait on God for renewed strength.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!
