So they picked up Jonah and threw him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging. Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice to the Lord and took vows.
If Jonah could not lead people to God by his life, perhaps he could by his death, and as far as the men on the ship knew he was as good as dead.
The sea calmed, the storm stopped, and those left on the ship worshipped the Lord.
A verse in the New Testament says whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Col 3:17
Do your work in the Name of the Lord.
Order your lunch and eat it in the Name of the Lord.
Fill up with gas in the Name of the Lord.
Go grocery shopping in the Name of the Lord.
Live your life in the Name of the Lord.
And when it comes time to die, do it in the Name of the Lord so that by your life or by your death you might lead some to Christ.
