Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.
I remember hearing my pastor preach on this back in the late 1970’s. I visualize a crowded house full of people and four men trying to get their friend in for Jesus to heal him.
With no way into the house, they climbed up and tore a hole in the roof.
I could picture them tying ropes onto their friends bed and lowering him and the bed right in front of Jesus.
These friends went to great lengths to get healing for their friend; even to the point of tearing up a neighbor’s roof.
How far will we go today for a friend to bring them to Jesus?
It may be easier than tearing through a roof. Maybe all you need to do is invite them to church.
