Memorable Scripture: Mixing it up.

1 Corinthians 10:21
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.

At first appearance it seems this verse is hardly applicable today. The conditions have changed. The scenario is not the same.
Sacrificing to demons is no longer a thing, right?
Perhaps the way it is done is really what has changed.
It’s still possible to serve demons today.
Many books, television shows, movies, and magazines serve up demonology on a regular basis.
It’s sugar-coated.
It’s cute.
It’s fun.
It’s blatantly anti-God.
We deal economically in countries with anti-Christian ideas.
If Paul can say, “they sacrifice to demons and not to God,” (1 Corinthians 10:20) then I can too.
If you had some type of multi-stock investment that returned well and you found out that part of the investment was in the porn industry, would you keep it?
I had someone tell me once, “I can spend the devil’s money just as well as God’s.”
I don’t want to spend the devils money. I only want the blessing of God.
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons!
You cannot mix it up.
