2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
I love God’s word!
It wasn’t always that way.
For years I ignored it.
It was mysterious and difficult to understand.
So was algebra and geometry but I learned the theories and processes for them and my eyes were opened.
Scripture is not much different in learning but it is described as “given by the inspiration of God.”
The word inspiration literally means “God breathed”.
Every time you talk you breathe.
It takes air (breath) to talk and so God’s word is spoken by God Himself.
The writers of the Bible were inspired or heard God as they wrote.
Scripture is give to improve you.
It gives the only Way of salvation and how to conduct yourself afterward.
It also gives many examples and warnings of failing to follow God’s word.
I can understand why the Bible is not important to unbelievers, obviously because they don’t believe.
But how can it be unimportant to believers?
It is profitable for the believer to be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Read the word!
