James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

I do not believe this means I need to confess my sins to you especially if my sin isn’t about you.
Rather, I need to confess my trespass against you.
This is about our relationship and forgiveness.
Jesus said if you have something against another person to go to that person and get it straightened out.
James is saying much the same.
When you and I forgive each other, we are free to pray for one another.
Forgiveness and prayer are healing!
Forgiveness makes your prayers more powerful!
