Memorable Scripture: Believers like you and me.

James 5:17-18 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

What a great reminder about the great men and women of the Bible – they are like you and me.
In this example, you’re reminded of Elijah, a man with a nature like ours.
Elijah got angry and scared.
He was upset at God at one point.
He also had a little pity party for himself.
Yet, it was his prayer that held back rain and dew for three and a half years.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16
This includes your prayer.
I believe prayer must be in the will of God not the will of Tim.
It was God’s will for a drought on the land of Israel during the reign of a murderous king and queen.
All God needed was a believer to proclaim it.
Back then, the believer was Elijah.
Today, the believers are you and me.
