Revelation 1:19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.
I often wonder if this wasn’t the commission for John to write everything.
The Lord tells him to writhe the things which you have seen, which is the past.
The Gospel of John fulfills this.
He tells him to write the things which are, which is the present.
His first, second, and third epistles fulfill this.
Finally, write about the things which will take place, which is the future.
Revelation fulfills this.
However, the commission to John represents the entire Bible.
The Bible is a book of what happened – a history of God and the relationship with humanity.
What is happening – the teachings of Jesus, the writings of Paul, and others showing us how to live.
And what will happen – the “yet to be fulfilled” prophecies of Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jesus, and Revelation.
Your life is the same – what happened, what is happening, and what will happen.
You cannot change what happened but you can change what is and what will be.
And the best way to change now and the future is to put your life into the hands of Jesus Christ.
I am not my own, I was bought with a price, I was purchased with the previous blood of Jesus Christ.
I am so thankful that the I Am drew me to HIM! He forgave my sins, past, present, and future.
When Jesus came to me in a vision, my life was changed forever.
