Faith grabs a snake by the tail.
“And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail” (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand),”Exodus 4:3-4
I’m at church camp today where our lessons this week will be on the life of Moses. So this morning I decided to do a refresher by reading about him.
I didn’t get very far before a thought struck me.
When Moses met God at the burning bush, he was unsure about his ability to really do anything for God.
God had him throw down his staff. It became a snake.
Moses jumped back!
That’s probably not unusual. Most everybody would jump back. I know a few that would have ran away, never to be seen the rest of the day.
I remember finding a snake while geocaching near a zoo. I jumped back quickly because a snake and zoo translated in my mind as exotic and venomous.
It was just a baby kingsnake.
So no one can blame Moses for jumping back.
But look what happened next.
God told him to GRAB IT BY THE TAIL!
I know what your thinking.
NO WAY!!
Moses did! He had just met the Lord God and was willing to take a step of faith.
Are you willing to face your worst fear today and grab it by the tail?
Remember it is written, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Shout before the rocks do!
Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: “‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”
But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” Luke 19:37-40 Continue reading
Serving
Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” Luke 10:38-40 Continue reading

Pray for Dallas – Pray for All!
My thoughts and prayers are with Dallas.
I struggle this morning to write something so I just give one scripture.
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chron 7:14
