Hate evil, love good; Amos 5:15
What would you think of me if I saw a house burning and I knew there were people inside and I did nothing? I didn’t try to wake them up and warn them or call 911.
You would think very bad of me; Continue reading
Revelation
Get use to it.
Remember the story of the frog placed in a pot of cool water. He remains there quite content and happy.
The water is then slowly heated up to a gradual boil. The frog remains not realizing the temperature is rising until it is too late and it is boiled to death.
There is much debate on the truth of the story. Continue reading
The Finale
It is finale week!
Last Tuesday was the season finale of NCIS; last night was the finale of Dancing with the Stars, and tonight is the finale of American Idol.
The only thing is it’s not really over. Next season there will be another NCIS, another American Idol, and another ballroom champion! Continue reading
Earthquakes in different places!
When it comes to end-time events, most look at the words of Jesus in this discourse with the disciples.
Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?” Continue reading
Rumors vs Truth
Last Friday Linda texted me and said that the Broaddus school’s were on lock-down. What she heard and thus relayed to me was that the same man that had vandalized our church air-conditioners was out on bond and at it again. Continue reading
Even so!
I copied this Facebook status from a friend I went to college with – “As it was in the days of Lot”… Signs of the “Falling Away” are everywhere. People are increasingly without natural affection, hurting each other, trampling the rights of others while chasing the almighty dollar. Continue reading
Washed!
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.” Ex 19:10
Think of how difficult it was to wash clothes back then. You can moan, groan, and complain but you have it made today compared to the standards of 1000 years ago or even 100 years ago. Continue reading
It’s going to be hail!
There has been a rash of really bad weather lately. Recently the Dallas/Ft. Worth area suffered through 55 severe thunderstorm warnings and 18 tornado warnings.
There were 17 confirmed tornadoes, including three EF-2’s and one EF-3.
My daughter and son-in-law both work in the north of Dallas and suffered some hail damage on their vehicles. Continue reading
What is your INTENTION?
I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. Rev 2:23
Our insurance company has denied our claim – totally!
Last week our church was vandalized. All 4 outside air-conditioner units were tampered with; 3 of them a total loss.
What thieves are after is the copper tubing inside the units, this I will admit.
But the perpetrators did not take anything. Continue reading
Just a little hot!
Wow! It was just a little bit warm in church last night. Today is a week since the A/C’s were vandalized beyond repair.
Nevertheless, we had a great time in church last night by adding another guitarist to the praise band.
Bible study and prayer topped it off. Continue reading
